Thomas W. Wegner, D.D.S.
Dr. Wegner is a 1984 graduate of University Of Illinois-College of Dentistry. He has been practicing in Oak Park since 1986. He has been in this current location for 19 years. He thoroughly enjoys getting to know his patients of all ages. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Association. He enjoys all phases of General Dentistry with specific interest in Preventive Dentistry, Cosmetic Dentistry, Reconstructive Dentistry and Children's Dentistry. He maintains up to date knowledge through continuing education at seminars, conferences and staff meetings. He is married to Donna, a practicing Pediatrician at Pedios in Oak Park. They have 4 children. His interests outside of dentistry include travel; environmental issues; health and well being to include particpant sports such as skiing, soccer, tennis, running...; Spectator sports-(mostly his kids games); music and technology.




Edith Gonzalez, Office Manager
I’ve been in the Dental field for 26 years and have enjoyed working for Dr. Wegner for the last 6 years as the Practice Manager. I enjoy working with all of our patients to help make their experience at Town & Country the best it can be. If you or your family ever encounter a problem or question related to your care in our office please let me know. I am here to help so please never hesitate to contact me for assistance.

 

 

 

Denisse Ruiz, Dental Assistant
I’ve worked with Dr. Wegner for over three years and I really enjoy working with our dental team. I’m very dedicated to our patient’s needs and comfort; I always want our patients to leave our office with a smile on their face. I enjoy using movies and the chair massage to help patients relax and feel more comfortable. If there is anything they ever need during their treatment appointments, I am always there to help my patients.

 

 

 

 

Guadalis Del Carmen, RDH
I graduated from Loyola University with Bachelors in Psychology and Journalism, I then went on to attain my dental hygiene license from Kennedy King College. My main passion is educating my patients on ways to improve their oral care. I strive to be receptive to my patients' level of comfort and I feel it's important to tailor my care to suit each patient's need. When I am not working with Dr. Wegner, I enjoy running and working out. I also perform with various theater companies in Chicago.

 

 

Leslie Scott, RDH
I graduated from Chicago State University with a BS in Biology and Art. I am a graduate of Kennedy King College / University of Illinois at Chicago where I earned my Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. I am a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, I enjoy working with all my patients and helping them, through education and customization, to improve their oral health. I also am committed to making their visits with me as comfortable, informative and positive as they can be. I take great pleasure in helping others and learning as much about my patients as possible.

 

Marcia Schattaner, RDH
I graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1984 with a BS in Education and an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene. I joined Dr. Wegner’s practice in January of 2008. I live in Oak Park with my husband and 2 boys and our new puppy. I enjoy making a positive impact on people’s dental health and helping them achieve and maintain a healthy smile.

 

Judy Lambros, RDH
I am a graduate of Loyola University. I have over 40 years of knowledge and experience to draw on in helping my patients sustain optimum oral health. My first priority is to assure that my patients always have the most comfortable hygiene visit possible. I have worked with Dr. Wegner for 9 years and enjoy all the wonderful patients that I have met here at Town & Country Dental.

 

 

 

Heidi D. Schulz, RDH
I am a registered Dental Hygienist, a graduate of North Carolina’s Central Piedmont Community College. I also have a license in massage therapy. I consider the care and maintenance of my patient’s teeth, gums and muscles very important to their overall health.

 

 

 

Jo Umano, RDH
I have enjoyed working with Dr. Wegner since 1993. He has created a practice where I can learn everything from the newest technology to being the best I can be with patient care and communication.

I have moved to the west coast but continue to work at Town & Country Dental a couple times yearly. Why? Because my co-workers are my friends, Dr. Wegner still is the best dentist I have seen in 3 states and the patients at Town & Country are still my great pleasure to treat.

What some may not know is that Dr. Wegner has a great sense of humor. The staff and him are really fun to be around. Together, we learn and laugh. That combination is rare in dentistry and that is why I continue to schedule and enjoy my working vacations in Oak Park.
